In what we are sure is the longest span between posts we have ever built, the distance between these two posts is around 25’! Ordinarily this patio cover would require at least three, maybe four, posts. We were able to span the distance by utilizing two 3x8 headers, both reinforced with steel C-beam inserts hidden within. The advantage is a spacious patio, with a very wide view.
